Can I have guest speakers on my free conference call and mute everyone else? |
Yes, you can give your guest speakers a separate five-digit guest speaker code, which will keep their individual line from
being muted by the host’s Mute All feature. You can change this five-digit code after each call for security purposes. Guest speakers must
join as a participant, then press 88* on their telephone keypad before entering the five-digit code you provide them. You will find this
code on the right-hand side of your computer screen once you have logged into your account.
Basement Ventures also offers advanced conference management options from the web—including individual caller muting/unmuting, call recording and
a hand-raising feature for question-and-answer sessions.
Please review our Web Manager FAQ for more details.

Can you provide me a local dial-in number? |
No, our free conference calling dial-in number is determined by our conference calling service’s location rather than caller location, and
it cannot be changed.

Will I be charged long distance? |
Everyone who participates in your free conference calls, including yourself, will dial a regular toll number (not toll-free/1-800). Any
long-distance charges incurred depend on each participant’s long-distance plan and service provider, which will charge its customers directly.

Can participants dial in prior to my free conference call’s start time and wait? |
Your participants can dial in up to eight minutes prior to the host accessing the conference call. They will be placed on hold and muted until
the host joins the call. If the waiting time is exceeded, participant's are prompted to confirm the conference call details and call back at
the designated time.

How do I set up a free conference call? |
Once you set up an account (which only takes a couple minutes), you will immediately receive a conference number, bridge number and moderator
PIN. Schedule a date and time for your conference call and provide that information to your participants along with the conference (dial-in)
number and bridge number to access your free conference call. Do not share your moderator PIN with anyone—it is your personal security code,
and you will need it to host your free conference calls.

Can I listen to my free conference call recordings over the phone? |
Free conference call recordings are not currently available through dial-in access, but Basement Ventures plans to offer this feature soon. In the
meantime, you can listen to your recorded conference calls on our website, through a streaming button or via a podcast. If you want your
participants to have access to the recording, you must make it public using our Web Manager feature.

How do I manage a question-and-answer session on my free conference call? |
Our custom web controls allow the free conference call host to mute everyone on the call and allow participants to virtually raise their hands
by pressing (5) then (*) on their telephone keypads. A raised hand will display next to the caller’s name in the Web Manager, enabling the
host to uncheck the mute box and allow them to speak.
If the question has already been asked and answered, a participant can virtually lower their hand by pressing (5) then (*) on their
telephone keypad again. The host can then mute the participant by checking the mute box in the Web Manager again.

Where is my free conference call account email confirmation? |
Your email confirmation is sent instantly, but it does contain the word FREE, which may cause it to automatically reroute into your junk mail
folder. If you signed up for an account and did not receive your email confirmation (after checking your junk mail folder), please go to
Forgot My Info on the BV FreeConferencing website and
submit your email address. We will send you a new confirmation email with your free conference calling codes and dial-in instructions.

I can't log in. What's wrong? |
Be sure you are logging in with your accurate bridge number and moderator PIN, which you should type manually each time. If you copy and paste
your information into the log-in boxes, your computer may insert extra characters that are not recognized by the system.
