How do I access the FreeConferencing Web Manager? |
- Go to: http://www.thebasementventures.com
- Log in with your conference bridge number and moderator PIN in the upper right-hand corner of the web page:
- Click on Web Manager button (see example below) to launch the Web Manager.

What options does the FreeConferencing Web Manager support? |
You can control your free conference call in real-time from the Web Manager. Click each option in the Conference Controls box to enable or
disable management controls over your free conference call.
Conference call Web Manager controls include:
- End Conference—Stop the call completely.
- Mute All—Silence everyone but the moderator.
- Unmute All—Unmute your participants (up to 25 callers).
- Start Conference Recording—Initiate call recording.
- End Conference Recording—Disable call recording and complete the creation of that file.
- Enable Name Announce—Require participants to record their name before joining the call.
- Disable Name Announce—Disable name announce and let participants join the conference call anonymously.
- Enable Conference Call Continuation—Continue the call after the moderator leaves the conference.
- Disable Conference Call Continuation—Disable call continuation, so your conference call ends when the moderator disconnects from the call.
- Lock Conference—Restrict new participants from joining the conference call.
- Unlock Conference—Unlock the conference call, so new participants can join.
- Lower All Hands—Lower all raised hands on your Web Manager page.
- Log Out—Log off the moderator from the Web Manager.
- Mute/Unmute Individual Caller—Check or uncheck the box next to each caller’s name in the Muted column of the Web Manager to control individual talk/listen access to your conference call. An unchecked box allows the caller to speak on the call, and a checked box will mute the caller.
- Lower Hand—Double click on a participant's raised hand icon, and it will disappear. (Conference call participants can signal the host to ask a question at any time during the call by pressing (5) then (*) on their telephone keypad to virtually raise their hand. The conference call host can unmute the caller if necessary, allow them to ask their question and then lower their hand.)

What free conference call participant details are listed in the Web Manager? |
- Muted—Mute/unmute participants by checking or unchecking the box next to their names.
- Raised Hand—View your participants’ raised hands on your Web Manager page. Participants can press (5) then (*) on their telephone keypad to virtually raise their hand from a muted state, letting you know they have a question. You can then unmute the selected caller, allowing them to speak to the group and ask their question.
- Name—Click Add Name to label a participant's phone number by name.
- Number—Display each participant's dial-in number.
- Type—Display title of each participant, showing their role within the conference call.
- Status—Check to see whether or not a participant is connected on the call.
- Join Time—Display the time each participant joined the conference call.
- Leave Time—Display the time each participant left the conference call.
- Connected—Display who is connected to your conference call, with the ability to disconnect any participant individually.

How do I mute everyone on my free conference call? |
You can mute the entire conference call by clicking on the Mute All box.

How do I unmute only one participant on my free conference call? |
You can uncheck the muted check box next to any participant name on your Web Manager page to unmute an individual caller.

How do callers raise their hands during my free conference call? |
Conference call participants can press (5) then (*) on their telephone keypads to virtually raise their hands. A hand (see example below) will appear
next to the participant’s name on your Web Manager page.

How do I lower a raised hand during my free conference call? |
Double click on the participant’s raised hand icon, and it will disappear.

Can I label or name one or more of my free conference call participants listed in the Web Manager? |
Yes, click on the Edit Name field to assign a label or name to the dial-in number of any participant.
Note: Select Remember Me if you’d like participant name(s) to appear during future conference calls.

How do I dial out to my free conference call participants? |
You can dial out to your free conference call participants using our Web Manager feature.
To dial out using the Web Manager, enter the participant's direct line (US Only) into the form at the bottom right
of the Web Manager and click Dial Participant. The system will call the participant, and if answered, prompt them to press any key on
their telephone keypad to connect to the conference call.
NOTE: The participant you are calling must have a direct line with the United States. You can dial out to only one person for every
five dial-in callers connected to your conference call.

How do I change the time zone? |
To change the time zone, click on the drop down menu and select the time zone you prefer. By default, the time zone is set to PST (Pacific Standard Time).

How do I manage a question-and-answer session on my free conference call? |
Our custom web controls allow the free conference call host to mute everyone on the call and allow participants to virtually raise their hands
by pressing (5) then (*) on their telephone keypads. A raised hand will display next to the caller’s name in the Web Manager, enabling the host
to uncheck the mute box and allow them to speak.
If the question has already been asked and answered, a participant can virtually lower their hand by pressing (5) (*) on their telephone keypad
again. The host can also lower the hand by double clicking on it, and then mute the participant by checking their mute box in the Web Manager again.
